This Privacy Policy explains how Animatica (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Animatica desktop application and web services at app.animatica.ai (collectively, the “Service”).

2. Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We do not store passwords in plain text.

Usage data

We record generation requests (timestamps, frame counts, quality settings) to enforce usage limits and improve the Service. We do not store the generated motion output on our servers after delivery.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or bank details. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.

Error and performance data

We use Sentry for error tracking. Crash reports may include your user ID and device metadata (operating system, app version) but do not include your generated content or personal files.

3. How we use your information

• To provide and maintain the Service.
• To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
• To enforce usage limits and prevent abuse.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password resets). We do not send marketing emails without your consent.
• To diagnose errors and improve the Service.

4. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Sentry — error monitoring.
• Render — API hosting.

Each provider processes data only as necessary to provide their service and is bound by their own privacy policies.

5. Data retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or to resolve disputes. Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely.

6. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and restricted access to production systems. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data.
• Export your data in a portable format.

8. Cookies

The web application uses essential cookies for authentication (session tokens). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States, where our hosting providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the Service. The “Effective date” at the top indicates the latest revision.
